Lykke Li has announced a new album called The Afterparty.
The Swedish artist's sixth studio effort is due out May 8. It's the follow-up to 2022's EYEYE.
"I find that we're in an era where everyone is talking about, 'My higher self,'" Li says in a statement. "F*** that. This is an album dealing with your lower self: your need for revenge, your shame, despair, all of it."
The first single off The Afterparty is called "Lucky Again," and is out now.
Li will perform at Coachella in April. Her upcoming live schedule also includes a London show in July with Wolf Alice and The Last Dinner Party.
